Fact vs Faith

Posted: April 20, 2011 in Uncategorized

Faith is a huge topic among Christians yet very few understand it’s application.

Something that the bible clearly states, without which, any man can please God. (Heb 11:6).  The bible states that it is necessary for our daily living. (Habbakuk 2:2, Rm 1:17).

To some it is wishful thinking. Or wishful speaking…But to US it is our life!

Some people say get real with the fact,” you have a flu, just say you have a flu.” Or  “You are broke…own up to it…”  But you see, Faith does not deny the fact! Yet it denies the ability of the fact to alter our destinies and change our lives.  God is not as concerned about how you feel or what you experience, as he is about what you say and how you respond to the challenges that come your way…

If as Christians, we believe that God’s word is final authority…then we should be able to consider this. In Joel 3 vs 10. The word of God says, “let the weak say, I am strong.” Notice, this scripture did not deny that there were some that were weak, yet it did not dwell on the weakness.  God does not want the weakness empowered. He is concerned about your confessions.  The scripture is for our example. We ought to confess His strength in our weakness.  The bible did not say let the weak face the fact that they are weak, rather, it says they should confess that they are strong…knowing that weakness is not consistent with God’s will…Several scriptures speak of God giving strength to the weak (phil 4:13, Isa 40:29, Isa 40:31, Psa 46:1) The bible also says that we are satisfied by the words of our lips (pro 12:14). So, we ought to speak what we desire to see…The bible says we were made in the likeness of God…Just as God spoke and it was….We have to ability to speak and expect to see changes…

When you walk in faith, you are not walking in denial…You are walking in obedience knowing that God honors His word.

I urge everyone, to confess the strength of God in every area of weakness. Be it a weakness in your body, in your finances or in your emotions….THE WORD WORKS…Speak and keep speaking…

As for me, I have decided to lose sight of the obvious (what I can see, feel, hear, smell and taste) and focus on the REALITY (God’s word).
