The account of Job in the bible is one of those stories from which a lot of false spiritual doctrines have been birth. It is important that as Christians we STUDY the bible and not make a doctrine out of a single bible verse without reading it in context.  Every major truth in the bible must be confirmed in at least two or three other scriptures. (2 cor 13:1, Deut 19:15).

The story of a Job is one that is taught in many beginners’ class.  It is taught in many religious classes. But how many really understand why this story is in the bible? How many “get” the story of Job. Many have read the account of Job and come to the conclusion, that God sometimes allows the devil to have dominion over Christians.  This could not be farther from the truth! Others have read or heard about the account of Job and concluded that, God sometimes tests us with evil (sickness, poverty, calamity) just to see if we are truly for Him.  Again, this is a lie from the pit of Hell! Some others have through the account of Job, reached the conclusion that God can bless you today and revoke His blessings tomorrow.  This is another lie from hell!

Firstly, let me establish this. As Christians, God has given us dominion over devils of darkness! (Luke 9:1, Mark 16:17). There is no scripture in the bible that suggests that Satan has dominion over a child of God.

Secondly, God does not send evil our way! The bible lets us know that every good and perfect gift comes from God! (James 1:17) You will agree with me that sickness and lack are not good and perfect. We are also told that the devil comes to steal, kill and to destroy. This is his ministry. He does not know how to do anything else! But Christ has come that we may have life and have it in abundance! Until it overflows! (John 10:10) Hallelujah!!!!

Thirdly, God does not bless you today, and change His mind about it tomorrow. The gifts and callings of God are irrevocable! (Romans 11:29). I like how God’s Word Translation states this verse. It says, “God never changes his mind when he gives gifts or when he calls someone.” How true! Aren’t you glad that God doesn’t change His mind about you! He does not withdraw His gift of health based on your mistakes or short-comings! He does not withdraw His gift of peace and prosperity based on your mistakes! His gifts are irrevocable!!! Hallelujah!!!

To properly understand the story of Job, a believer must understand life before Christ and life after Christ died the perfect death and paid the perfect price. I will save this for another day.

I am going to try to explain, what went wrong with Job, in the context of the account we are given in the Book of Job.

To properly understand the story of Job, we cannot start arriving at conclusions based on Job chapter 1. The bible says Job was a man that was richly blessed by God. He was blessed with every earthly possession you can think of! And we are told, that Satan in fulfilling his ministry of going to and fro in the earth, looking for whom he may devour, noticed a hedge around Job. And as long as the hedge was around Job, Satan was unable to inflict harm! Hnmmmm So, that tells me that for calamity to have come to Job and his house, the hedge had to have been broken…Ecc 10:8 lets us know that it is he who breaks the hedge that the serpent bites. So what then did Job do, to break the hedge??? The answer to this is in Job chapter 3. In verse 25, we are told that Job operated in fear! He said, the thing which I fear has come upon me, and that which I am afraid of has come unto me.

What is fear? Fear is the opposite of Faith! If Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God (Rm 10:17), then fear comes by hearing the words of the devil! Fear is able to destroy the hedge! Fear will make you not to work in the authority that you have in Christ! That is why fear is the greatest tool of the enemy! If he can sow fear into your spirit, he can cause you to doubt what God has given to you. Think about it. Job feared being poor. Job feared being sick. He feared losing his family and friends and by this, he unknowingly allowed evil.

In Job chapter 6 verse 24, Job starts to realize that there is a bigger picture,  that things like this don’t just happen if the hedge is still intact. He begins to pray, “teach me, and I will hold my peace, and cause me to understand wherein I have erred.” Job erred in believing the words of Satan and by allowing fear dominate his mind.

In Job 42, Job repented and got restored.

Many have made a doctrine out of Job 1:21. Some have even written songs about it. It is one of the most quoted scriptures when a young man or woman dies untimely. “The LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away.” Not fully studying the account of Job. The Lord never gives and takes away! His gifts are irrevocable! Let us believe God’s word! Believe what His word says about you! Refuse to operate in fear! Endorse His word to be true in your life!

Thank God for the new covenant, because under the new covenant we have an eternal intercessor in Jesus that constantly intercedes for us by the Holy Ghost even when we may have done things to break the hedge! God is no longer having a conversation with Satan about you! You have been given dominion over Satan and his angels. You have ABSOLUTE dominion! Hallelujah!!! You have become the PRINCIPALITY in town! When you step in, demons check out! Whatsoever is born of God OVERCOMES!!! (1 John 5:4) Child of God, wake up to who you have become in Christ!!! Endorse it! Believe it! Walk in it!

Unto thee, O LORD, do I lift up my soul.

My God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed,

let not mine enemies triumph over me.

Many years ago, as a young christian, I sang this song with tears, especially the part that says ” let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me” I sang it again and again, until the Holy Spirit said to me “what are you saying, the enemy has been paralyzed, defected, immobilized, dissolved, rendered harmless, 1 John 3:8 and 1 John 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.”

Understand, there was nothing wrong with this song before Jesus was crucified on the cross, especially the part that says

“let me not be ashamed,

let not mine enemies triumph over me.

but after His burial and resurrection, after all He did for us with regard to the enemy (spiritual and physical), not after He hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus (Eph 2:6) and declared with power that “as he is, so are we in this world.” 1 John 4:17

Understand, in Romans 5:5, the bible says; And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

This may be the situation of many today, begging God to do something about the devil, sickness, lack, depression, and name it, the good news is that God is resting, He is not in the business of trying to get the devil off our back, HE’S ALREADY DONE IT, NOT FOR A SEASON BUT FOR ETERNITY.

Stand your ground in faith, declare your identity in Christ and take authority in the name of Jesus; the bible calls it THE FIGHT OF FAITH.

I have no doubt in me as you give yourself to the word of God today concerning that condition, that you will be delivered into your inheritance in Christ. Act 20:32

Brothers and sisters, we are more than conquerors, greater is He that is in us than he that his in the world. We are partakers of the divine nature, therefore resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7

Living with the father

Posted: May 13, 2011 in Uncategorized

God is faithful (reliable, trustworthy, and therefore ever true to His promise, and He can be depended on); by Him you were called into companionship and participation with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. 1 Cor 1:9 AMP

Being born again is a call unto a fellowship. It is a call into a union with the Godhead. This fellowship is different from the typical medical, engineering or astronomical fellowship. It is a call that carries with it divinity. The beauty of this fellowship is that our calling is not based on what we have done. Rather, it is the faithfulness of God that qualified our calling into this union.

This is a call to a union, an association, a fraternity of the God head, a sharing, a doing together, and a reign of the divine essence. Another word that translate fellowship is intercourse, which means the spirit, soul and body are mingled together, so much so, that you cannot tell them (parties) apart. This is what we are into, not when we get to heaven; rather it is our present position with the Godhead, because as he is, so are we in this world. 1Jn 4:17

The Jesus we are called unto fellowship with, is not the same Jesus that walked the earth (read the scriptures, is there). Rather, He has called us unto a fellowship with the resurrected Christ. Understand this, Jesus was the word made flesh, when He took the form of a human person, the bible tells us, he did without the glory of the word. Even at that, He (Jesus) still demonstrated absolute mastery over devils of all kind, trees, wind, storms, death, sea and all that is in this world.

This is the most powerful truth in the church of Jesus Christ today; and God is bringing this home to all of us, with so much clarity and simplicity.

Understand, being called into this fellowship, you have gained absolute mastery over the world (1jn 5:4), when Jesus walked on water in Mathew 14:22-33; it was a demonstration of what is possible being in this fellowship.

Remember folk, Jesus came and showed to us what is possible and has given us life eternal, in addition, He sent the Holy Spirit; so we can be without excuses.

What are you going to do?

Understanding Christianity

Posted: April 28, 2011 in Uncategorized

Christianity is not a religion, it’s a call to GLORY, not to shame and defeat. It is a call to a continuous victory over devils of darkness, over sickness and disease, over lack and failure. It is a call to absolute dominion over sin, absolute success, absolute health and prosperity. It is the reign of Christ in and through a human person by the power of the Holy Spirit. It’s a call into a divine fraternity with the God kind, in other words, it’s a call to a divine fellowship with the Godhead. It’s the best kind of life made available to all that will accept Jesus as lord and personal savior.

This call echoed throughout creation, so much so, that “the prophets inquired and searched carefully, who prophesied of the grace that would come to you, searching what, or what manner of time, the Spirit of Christ who was in them was indicating when He testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ and the glories that would follow.  To them it was revealed that, not to them, but to us they were ministering the things which now have been reported to you through those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven—things which angels desire to look into.”1 Peter 1:10-12 KJV

Now that we understand what this call is all about, we have to know our participation, our communication, our role in enjoying all the glory that Jesus suffered for. There are three basic principles that we must know and apply accurately in other for us to manifest this glorious life – FAITH, HOPE AND LOVE.

Faith is something that every Christian has; there is no Christian that does not have faith, the fact that you are a believer in Jesus Christ means that you have faith. For by grace you have been saved through faith and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,” Eph 2:8.  Faith was implanted into you by the Holy Spirit at salvation, “as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith” (Romans 12:3); it’s one of many attribute of the new birth. Every one of us has enough faith to rearrange and utter geographical plains of the world. Jesus said …I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you. (Mathew 17:20)

As a believer, the debate is no longer on whether you have faith or not, it is on whether you are putting your faith to work or not.

Faith is always now; faith does not try to get something. Faith takes possession of all that Jesus Christ has made available to us. It is accepting that, what He says I am  I am, what He says I have I have, and what He says I can do I can do, period.

For example, there are many Christians around the world who are expecting to have eternal life when they get to heaven, what they are missing is that eternal life is already available to them, but they just don’t know it. A lot of them believe that, it’s impossible for a human person to possess eternal life in this world, so they are trying to live right, talk right, and everything else they believe the father will be pleased with so they can obtain eternal life when they get to heaven.  This is the biggest blunder in Christianity today, (FYI; you have to have eternal life to be allowed into heaven) We live and talk right because of eternal life that is at work in us. In I John 3:9 tells us “Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.”  Faith says I have eternal life now, I am not going to have it I have it right now. In John 3:15 the scripture tells us plainly that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. The scripture we just read did not say the believer is going to have eternal life; rather it says the believer is a possessor of eternal life.

Isaiah 53:5

But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,And by His stripes we are healed.

I Peter 2:24 AMP

He personally bore our sins in His [own] body on the tree [as on an altar and offered Himself on it], that we might die (cease to exist) to sin and live to righteousness. By His wounds you have been healed.

Concerning our health, notice, it is not saying that we are going to be healed when we pray enough, when we fast three times a month or when we shout, it says by His wound you have been healed. The requirement to live in absolute health was His wound, not your prayer or fasting. Faith therefore takes possession of health right now, faith says I am healed, faith does not say I am going to be healed or God is going to heal me, no! Faith says I have the health of God in me; I have it working in my blood, my bones, my organs, from the crown of my head to the toes of my feet.

1 John 4:4 AMP

Little children, you are of God [you belong to Him] and have [already] defeated and overcome them [the agents of the antichrist], because He Who lives in you is greater (mightier) than he who is in the world.

Many Christians around the world are afraid of the devil, they believe he is very powerful, listen, everything you have heard and will ever hear about the devil has been powerful is a liar. As a believer you have already defeated and overcome the devil, believe this. There are no proof in the word  of God that even suggest that the devil is powerful, the only description it gives us is that the devil is a native liar (John 8:44).

As a believer, you are untouchable; your location is off limit to darkness, “He raised us up together with Him and made us sit down together [giving us joint seating with Him] in the heavenly sphere [by virtue of our being] in Christ Jesus (the Messiah, the Anointed One).” Eph 2:6 AMP

Far above all rule and authority and power and dominion and every name that is named [above every title that can be conferred], not only in this age and in this world, but also in the age and the world which are to come. Eph 1:21 AMP

In relation to our dominion over darkness, faith does not try to overcome the devil, faith takes a position of a VICTOR. Faith does not pray that God should take the devil away; rather faith declares his victory over darkness in the NOW.

When you understand faith, your quality of life will be enhanced, remember “For His divine power has bestowed upon us all things that [are requisite and suited] to life and godliness, through the full, personal] knowledge of Him Who called us by and to His own glory and excellence (virtue).”  2Peter 1:3 AMP

Our possession is through the knowledge of Him, many have mistaken faith to positive thinking, or good wishes, faith is WORD BASED. Faith does not and cannot exist outside the word of God. Faith takes possession through the word. If it’s not in the word, then it’s not faith, for the bible says faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God (Romans10:17).

NOW FAITH is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses]. Hebrews 11:1 AMP

Finally, someone may ask you for a proof of your victory over devils of darkness, or a proof that absolute health is possible in Christ; show them your faith, the word is the proof.  Faith has nothing to do with the way you feel, in other words it is beyond your sensory comprehension, it never make sense, because it was not design for the senses. Faith is for the spirit, it operates from your spirit, it is your spirit responding to God word in spite of the physical evidence that is contrary to your faith in God word. Just because you feel sick, does not mean you are sick, I know that is crazy, I know it sound like we are denying fact, but you see, faith does not deny the fact, faith deny the fact, the ability to control the circumstances of my life. Just because I feel sick, does not mean, the sickness should control what I eat, wear, say and go. Faith insists and maintains the word life in Christ regardless of what you see, hear and feel.

To be continued……..

God bless you

You and your faith

Posted: April 23, 2011 in Uncategorized

The fact that it’s spoken by God to you doesn’t guarantee that you’d see the results. God’s Word can only produce what it talks about when you work it out.

It’s like a seed, and for any seed to germinate, the right environment and conditions necessary for germination must be present. In the same way, God’s Word to you won’t produce any result except you create the right environment – the environment of faith.

You must believe the Word and act on it! When you personalize God’s Word; when you apprehend it and appropriate it for yourself, it becomes a reality in your life! His Word is settled in heaven, but you must settle it on earth through your faith.

Bless you

Act 14:8-10 KJV

And there sat a certain man at Lystra, impotent in his feet, being a cripple from his mother’s womb, who never had walked: The same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed, Said with a loud voice, Stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and walked.

Notice something here, he had faith to be healed. He got turned on, on the inside just hearing the word. But that did not change his situation, until the word was released; the RHEMA WORD.

Rhema is God’s word for your now, directed specifically to you, to your situation. To this man, the rhema word was “Stand upright on thy feet” . I don’t know what your situation is, one thing I know is that, to every situation, there is a rhema word for it.

So, the next time your faith get turned on, look out for your rhema word. It’s that word that dissolve your fear and doubt. When you have it, don’t stop talking it. Rejoice, dance, shout, because you have your delivery confirmation.

Enjoy your day

False loyalty

Posted: April 20, 2011 in Uncategorized

The issue of false loyalty is a sensitive one.. because it cuts at the heart of our motives and deals directly with our destiny. Loyalty is hard to find in a culture that builds relationships on selfish gain and perverse agendas. The ability to truly enter into a covenant relationship with another is a rare event, and should never be taken lightly. Loyalty seems to be the missing ingredient within our relationships, vocations, and our churches. What is loyalty? Loyalty is a dimension of faithfulness. Loyalty is faith in action as it relates to trust and accountability in a relationship. Loyalty is a display of honor. Loyalty is defined by the World English Dictionary as a feeling of allegiance. Allegiance is connected with the word ally. When you are loyal you are an ally. The word ally is closely related to military operations. Allies are those that stand with you during war. This is loyalty. When you are loyal you are tied to a person, a vision, a church through good times and bad times.

Now what is false loyalty? False loyalty is a deception that many have fallen subject to, rendering them ineffective and stagnant. False loyalty is when you find yourself being loyal to a system that is killing you and keeping you from your purpose. Many of you reading this are in this situation. Because I am planting a church in the Atlanta area, I want to deal with the issue of false loyalty in the church. It is demonic for us to align ourselves with anything that is against God’s purpose for our lives. I believe that there are two components that create space for false loyalty to thrive: a sense of false burden and responsibility, and lack of vision.

Wherever there is a lack of vision there is a lack of direction (Prov. 29:18). Why do we attach ourselves to people and places that have nothing to do with what we are called to? Time is the most valuable commodity that you have. Do not waste time being apart of something that is not shaping you into the leader God has called you to be. When people do not have vision they will stay in places of toxicity for years. Why are you in a church that has never taken time to identify your gifts and dedicate time to their development? Why are you in a church that cares more about what you give than your character? These issues must be addressed and dealt with apostolically. The only way the issue of false loyalty can truly be broken is by exposing motives. Are you dependent upon other people too much? Do you like placing the responsibility of your development into the hands of unqualified men and women because you are afraid to submit to true biblical leadership? Do you abhor being challenged because you know that your weaknesses will show? False loyalty is usually a manifestation of fear, procrastination and ignorance. People fear change, so they stay in places that are causing them much harm. Many are too lazy to seek out churches that will truly develop them. People will stay at a church for years because their grandfather started the church, and even though the church is dead and sabotaging their assignment, they never leave. You are NEVER obligated to be loyal to something that is killing you.

The other reason false loyalty exist is because of a false sense of burden and responsibility. Many times there is an unrealistic expectation. People have the “superman” syndrome. They think that can stay there long enough, do nothing, and there will be change. Brothers and Sisters you are wasting your time. You do not have the responsibility to save an entire church from the bondage of religion. When you stop growing, it’s time for you to start going. Ask yourself, why are you at the church that you are at? False loyalty is not really loyalty. Loyalty misplaced becomes a snare to even the sincere.

Prov. 20:6 Most men will proclaim every one his own goodness: but a faithful man who can find?

Loyalty is hard to find. We whether be loyal to a system that overlooks us, exploits us, and abuses us than truly committing to those that have a desire to see us reach our full potential. A true father will properly direct your loyalty, because wherever your loyalty is will determine where the majority of your time is sown. As someone who covers sons and daughters and has a passion to see next generation leaders raised up, we must deal with false loyalty. Break the connection you have with everything that is not purposeful. Assassinate false loyalty in your life and connect with those who see your future and will stop at nothing to get your there.
